ATMA VISION
Welcome to Atma Vision, a sacred space where, along with doing comparative theology, we see the world—and our life in it—through the lens of the sacred texts from the Krishna-Bhakti tradition (under the generic category of "greater Hinduism").
Your host, Cyril Wohrer (aka Chandra), is from Los Angeles. Based in Mayapur, India, he holds a Masters in the Study of Religion from Oxford University and is an ordained (brahmana) priest since 1997. He has been practicing and teaching the science of Bhakti-yoga for three decades. Let's deepen our faith together on the scientific path of devotion while living in today's world.
ATMA VISION
Gender Identity and the prince who changed his sex dozens of times
In this episode of Atma Vision, we touch on the topic of gender identity through the story, found in the famous Bhagavata Purana, of Prince Sudyumna, who had his sex changed repeatedly throughout his/her entire life.
In the "Prabhupada moment," we hear Prabhupada tell the story of the mouse who became a tiger who became a mouse again.
And we say a few words on the lyrics of Kirk Franklin's song, "Love Theory."
